Doctor appointment at about 38 weeks. Everything is progressing normally. Sam is starting to feel just a little bit uncomfortable and is having a little trouble getting comfortable at night while sleeping. She's pretty much ready to get this over with. :-)

Doctor appointment at about 29 weeks. It is decided to get a C-Section on Sept 16th, about a week and a half before the actual due date. This is all standard.

Elijah has minor surgery on both his thumbs to correct a "trigger thumb" condition that has appeared in the past few months or so. The surgery went perfectly!

Doctor appointment at about 18 weeks. Kurt and Sam get to see their new baby for the first time on a sonogram! The baby's due date is still September 26th. Kurt and Sam also find out that this baby is a boy!

Doctor appointment at about 14 weeks. Everything is fine and Kurt and Sam get to hear the baby's heartbeat again!

Doctor appointment at about 6 weeks. Baby is due around September 26th, 2004!

Our "official" due date comes and goes. No signs of anything special happening yet. We'll visit the doctor on Monday again if we haven't already delivered the baby this weekend.

Doctor appointment at about 39 weeks. Less than 1 week till due date! There is little or no dilation, so the baby is not ready to see the world just yet. Sam is still very comfortable, so we are very thankful.

Doctor appointment at about 38 weeks. Kurt and Sam attend Breastfeeding Class at the hospital. Less than 2 weeks till due date! Sometimes the baby tries to reposition itself, but always ends up back in the same old position. Kurt and Sam are both getting anxious to have the baby. The baby is just not quite ready yet, though!

Doctor appointment at about 37 weeks. The baby doesn't have as much room to move around as it used to have! Sam is a bit uncomfortable, but not miserable by any means. She is still able to walk every morning before it gets too hot outside.

Doctor appointment at about 36 weeks. Kurt and Sam get to see their baby for the second time on a sonogram! The baby is of normal size and is calculated to be a bit over 6 and a half pounds right now. The baby's head is down low and it's behind is up high and on the left and it's legs span across to the right.

Doctor appointment at about 34 weeks. The baby really moves around a lot when it is awake! There are a couple of songs on a CD that Sam is listening to that she thinks the baby really enjoys! Sam feels really good and starts walking every morning.

Doctor appointment at about 32 weeks. What used to feel like kicks and punches now feels like rolling body parts! Instead of getting kicked in the tummy, Sam is now getting kicked more toward her back! The baby is really growing in there! We can often identify a knee or a foot when the baby moves and stretches!

Doctor appointment at about 22 weeks. Everything is fine and Kurt and Sam get to hear the baby's heartbeat again! The baby's kicking can now be felt by laying your hand on Sam's belly!

Doctor appointment at about 19 weeks. Kurt and Sam get to see their baby for the first time on a sonogram! The baby's due date is still August 24th. Kurt and Sam are going to wait and be surprised by the sex of the baby upon delivery!
