Pictures and Media from AIDA the musical

I finally sat down and created an AIDA page on leucht.com containing photos that I took during the production along with links to photos taken by others along with a couple of videos that were produced for marketing purposes.

The leucht.com AIDA web page can be found here:  http://www.leucht.com/aida/

Enjoy.  And if any cast members or crew has any more photos from the production that they’d like to share with the masses, feel free to contact me via http://www.leucht.com/email/ and I’ll be happy to add more links.

AIDA photo slideshow on Florida Today website

Florida Today put together a nice little narrated photo slideshow showing some scenes from AIDA with the company singing the music that is playing in the background. Check out the video below. Just click on the play button to watch it.

[Link has been removed from Florida Today’s website. Sorry.]

Call 321-636-5050 for tickets or for more information, or go to the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse website.

P.S. I’m in the show … I’m playing the bad guy’s (Zoser’s) evil sidekick.  It’s an unnamed part without any actual lines, but it’s still a very fun part.  I’m also playing a slave in a couple of the slave camp scenes.

AIDA teaser on front page of paper today

This morning the Florida Today newspaper printed a nice little AIDA teaser on the front page. They actually used the word “blockbuster”! I can’t wait to see the story tomorrow morning in the TGIF section of the paper. It should be good.

AIDA opens tomorrow night, Friday April 3rd. There are still some tickets left for opening night and right now AIDA is playing through April 19th, although that could get extended if the rest of the performances sell out. For tickets or for more information, check out the Historic Cocoa Village Playhouse website.

Behold the Giant Floating “M”

Behold!  From the distant planet Mmmkwqpytcsw … this giant floating “M” was sent to warn us of our impending doom!  It was last seen floating up into the rafters high above the stage in the old historic Cocoa Village Playhouse in Cocoa, Florida.

Well, actually it’s just a set piece that I built yesterday afternoon for the Cocoa Village Playhouse show Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, which is opening next weekend (Feb 6th) and showing for at least 4 weekends.  Call 321-636-5050 to get your tickets now!

Musical Auditions: AIDA

The Cocoa Village Playhouse is holding auditions for AIDA on Monday Feb 9th at 7pm for females and Tuesday Feb 10th at 7pm for males.  CVP is located at 300 Brevard Avenue in Cocoa Village on Florida’s Space Coast.  Their phone number is 321-636-5050.

From the CVP audition flyer:

AIDA is Elton John & Tim Rice’s contemporary musical take on the grand classic tale of the love between a soldier and an enslaved princess – a love that transcends the vast culteral differences between the two warring nations.

With a pop-rock score that features stirring ballads and rousing choral numbers, Elton John nd Tim Rice’s AIDA is a modern crowd pleaser that embraces multi-cultural casting and exuberant dancing, staging and singing.
